Overview

The Panduit F8RNM5E5EANM100 is a pre-terminated OS2 singlemode trunk cable assembly engineered for high-density backbone interconnects in fiber optic infrastructure deployments. At 864 fibers over a 100-meter (328.1 ft) run, this single assembly replaces what would otherwise be dozens of discrete cable runs — meaning your installation crew spends time on deployment, not field termination. The MPO Female connectors on both ends plug directly into MPO-based cassettes, panels, and adapter modules, eliminating the cleaving, polishing, and testing steps that slow pre-terminated alternatives down. OS2 9/125µm singlemode glass supports low-loss, long-distance transmission, making this a fit for inter-building runs, campus backbone segments, and high-count intra-data-center trunk routes where distances exceed multimode limits. The LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) jacket satisfies fire-code requirements in plenum-adjacent or enclosed spaces where toxic fume generation must be minimized — a hard requirement in many European installations and increasingly enforced in U.S. enterprise facilities.
