Overview

The Panduit F9TYL5EL2SAM100 is a 12-fiber OS2 single-mode MPO to LC duplex trunk cable. It is designed for high-density fiber optic networks, particularly in data centers and enterprise backbones where efficient cable management and reliable connectivity are critical. The LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) jacket ensures safety compliance in environments where fire retardancy and low smoke emission are required, making it suitable for plenum spaces or areas with strict safety regulations. This trunk cable facilitates the transition from a high-density MPO connector to standard LC duplex connectors, simplifying patching and integration into existing infrastructure.

Compatibility

This Panduit trunk cable is designed for use with standard MPO/MTP trunking systems and LC duplex patch panels, switches, and transceivers. It is compatible with any network equipment utilizing OS2 single-mode fiber with MPO (12-fiber) and LC duplex interfaces. This includes, but is not limited to, 10GbE, 40GbE (using 12-fiber MPO breakout configurations), and 100GbE SR4/DR4 transceivers when used in conjunction with appropriate breakout assemblies or patch panels.

Installation Notes

When installing, maintain a minimum bend radius of 25mm (1 inch) for OS2 single-mode fiber to prevent signal degradation. Ensure connectors are clean prior to mating. The LSZH jacket offers enhanced safety but should still be handled with care to avoid damage. The MPO connector is keyed for correct orientation; do not force the connection. For breakout applications, ensure the MPO connector is properly aligned with the corresponding LC duplex connectors.
