The Panduit FXTYP5EL2SAM100 is a 12-fiber OM3 MPO to LC duplex trunk cable designed for high-density interconnects in data center and enterprise backbone applications. This factory-terminated assembly simplifies installation, reducing termination time and potential errors compared to field-terminated solutions. It enables efficient migration to higher bandwidths by supporting 10Gbps, 40Gbps, and 100Gbps Ethernet standards.

Compatibility

This trunk cable is compatible with standard MPO/MTP interfaces on transceivers and patch panels, and LC duplex connectors on patch panels and active equipment. It is suitable for use with OM3 fiber optic infrastructure, supporting applications requiring up to 10 Gigabit Ethernet over longer distances than OM1 or OM2 fiber.

Installation Notes

Ensure proper bend radius management during installation to maintain signal integrity. The cable jacket is OFNP (Plenum Rated), suitable for use in air-handling spaces. Avoid exceeding the minimum bend radius of 1 inch (25.4mm) to prevent performance degradation.
