Overview

The Panduit FC2WA-24-10AF is an Opticom™ OM5+ fiber cassette designed for high-density network infrastructure. It terminates 24 fibers, connecting 2x MPO-12 male connectors to 12x LC duplex connectors, facilitating efficient data center or enterprise backbone aggregation. This cassette is engineered for bi-directional transmission and supports Method A polarity inversion, crucial for specific network configurations.

Compatibility

This Panduit Opticom cassette is designed to integrate with Panduit's fiber optic panel systems and enclosures. It is compatible with OM5 multimode fiber infrastructure, supporting applications requiring high bandwidth and short-reach data transmission, such as 40/100 GbE and beyond. It is intended for use within compatible Panduit fiber optic patch panels and distribution frames.

Installation Notes

The cassette features a durable polycarbonate construction. It utilizes a paired-inversion (PI) method, meaning the transmit and receive fibers are crossed within the cassette to ensure proper end-to-end connectivity when used with corresponding MPO trunks. Ensure correct polarity matching with the trunk cables and connected equipment to avoid signal loss.
