Overview
The K-1775-3-BN is a telephone-line-powered entry phone built for commercial vestibules, apartment lobbies, and secured access points where a single flush-mounted unit needs to handle visitor calling, video monitoring, and credential reading simultaneously. This model delivers the K-1775-3 platform in an oil rubbed bronze powder-coat finish on 14-gauge 316 stainless steel — spec it where the architectural finish matters as much as the function. The unit is telephone line powered (20V DC, 20mA minimum), so no separate power supply or PoE infrastructure is required at the door. Flush mount using the included rough-in box (4.5" x 5.5" x 2.5"), or surface mount with the optional VE-6x7 enclosure.
Compatibility
The 125 kHz proximity card reader outputs 26-bit Wiegand data — the industry default — making it directly compatible with the Viking ES-1 and C-4000 door controllers, as well as any third-party access control panel that accepts standard 26-bit Wiegand input. The analog color video output integrates with any system accepting a standard composite video signal; no IP network or encoder is required. The built-in keypad supports code-based entry when paired with a compatible Viking controller. For installations requiring weather protection beyond the standard K-1775-3-BN rating, the K-1775-3-EWP variant handles up to 100% condensing humidity and carries an IP66 rating — relevant for fully exposed exterior applications.

Overall unit dimensions are 5.5" x 6.5" x 2.6"; rough-in box is 4.5" x 5.5" x 2.5" — verify wall depth before cutting. Camera tilt adjusts ±20° vertical and ±30° horizontal post-mount, so minor aim corrections don't require reinstallation. Sensitivity is 0.025 lux at 50 IRE — adequate for artificially lit entry points, but not for unlit outdoor night scenes without supplemental lighting. Operating temperature range is -30°F to 150°F, suitable for most North American climates including cold-weather vestibules. Humidity tolerance for the K-1775-3-BN is 5% to 95% non-condensing; specify the EWP variant for exposed outdoor installations. Card reader read range is 1.25" to 2.0" — position the faceplate to keep credential presentation within that window.
