Description

Lifesafety Power FPO75-C8PE1 8-Output Class 2 Power Limited Lock Supply

Overview

The FPO75-C8PE1 is a 75W class 2 power-limited supply designed to feed multiple electromagnetic or solenoid locks in distributed door-control installations. It delivers 2.5A per output across 8 independent lock outputs, with selectable voltage outputs: 6A at 12V or 3A at 24V. Class 2 power-limited designation means the supply itself is inherently current and voltage limited — no external fusing per output is required, simplifying installation in retrofit and new-build access control cabinets. The E1 enclosure houses the supply in a compact, wall-mount form factor suitable for internal cabinet mounting or surface installation in secure technical spaces.

Compatibility

This supply is compatible with standard electromagnetic locks (maglocks), solenoid strikes, and door-release mechanisms rated for 12V or 24V DC operation. Integrates with access control panels, door controllers, and security management systems that require Class 2 power-limited auxiliary supplies. Verify your lock's current draw does not exceed 2.5A per output; parallel outputs are permissible if distributed load does not exceed the total 75W budget.

Installation Notes

Wire each lock output independently to its corresponding door-release mechanism using appropriate gauge copper (12 AWG or heavier for runs exceeding 50 feet to account for voltage drop). The supply operates on standard 120V AC mains input; ensure a dedicated 15A circuit minimum. Set voltage selector to match your installed lock hardware — 12V or 24V — before energizing. Do not exceed 2.5A per individual output; exceeding this will trip the internal current limiting and disable that output until load is removed and power is cycled.
