Lifesafety Power FPO75/75-C8D8E2 Fused Power Distribution Module
Overview
The FPO75/75-C8D8E2 is a 75W fused power distribution enclosure designed for access control and surveillance systems requiring isolated, individually fused outputs for multiple door locks and auxiliary devices. Each of the 8 lock outputs and 8 auxiliary outputs is fused at 3A, preventing a single short-circuit or over-draw from cascading across your entire system. Dual voltage operation (6A @ 12V or 3A @ 24V) accommodates both standard electromagnetic and low-voltage access control architectures without requiring separate supplies.
Compatibility
This module integrates into access control power distribution systems, particularly those using separate strike supplies and auxiliary relay control. It pairs with standard 24VDC or 12VDC input power sources and is compatible with door controllers, badge readers, and ancillary equipment (buzzers, status indicators, valve solenoids) that draw under 3A per channel. Verify your specific controller or reader documentation to confirm output current requirements before installation.
Installation Notes
Mount the enclosure in a climate-controlled cabinet or electrical room; the unit itself is not rated for outdoor exposure. Distribute load across outputs to avoid exceeding the 75W total budget—a single fully-loaded channel (3A @ 24V = 72W) will leave minimal headroom for others. Fuse sizing is fixed at the factory; do not attempt to upgrade fuses beyond 3A per output, as that defeats the circuit-protection design and voids any support. Use standard 22 AWG or larger wire for all connections to minimize voltage drop on longer runs.
