Lifesafety Power FPO75/75-C4D8E1 Cabinet Power Supply
Overview
The FPO75/75-C4D8E1 is a 75W modular power supply designed for multi-output access control and door-locking systems. It delivers dual-voltage capability (6A @ 12VDC or 3A @ 24VDC) with four dedicated lock outputs and eight separately fused auxiliary outputs at 3A each — eliminating the need for external distribution modules in compact installations. The E1 enclosure is a standard footprint for retrofit and new-build cabinet integrations where space and fusing isolation matter.
Compatibility
This supply integrates with access control power supplies in door-lock clusters, badge readers, and integrated lock-reader circuits that demand isolated fused outputs. Verify your specific lock type (fail-safe, fail-secure, electric strike, or mag lock) draws within the 3A per-output limit; oversized single locks require a dedicated higher-current channel or external boost supply. Confirm your cabinet has adequate DIN-rail space — the E1 form factor is compact but not minimal.
Installation Notes
Each of the eight auxiliary outputs is fused independently at 3A to prevent cascade failures — a single over-current event affects only that channel. Wire lock feeds in #18–#12 AWG depending on run length and amperage; the four main lock outputs share the primary 6A fuse, so do not exceed aggregate draw. Ensure cabinet airflow — the 75W rating assumes convective cooling and does NOT include active ventilation. Terminate all unused outputs cleanly to prevent nuisance trips.
When to Choose a Different Model
If you need redundant power supervision, battery backup capability, or higher single-channel current (beyond 6A @ 12V), evaluate higher-capacity Lifesafety Power supplies in the same family. This model assumes a clean, stable 24VAC or 12VDC primary feed; if your site has voltage sag or brownout risk, add a battery-backed UPS upstream.
