Overview
The FPO150-B100C4D8E2 is a 150W secondary power supply board for distributed power infrastructure in access control and security systems. It delivers either 12A at 12VDC or 6A at 24VDC — sufficient to support multiple power supply endpoints across a mid-sized facility or integrated access cabinet. The adjustable 5–18VDC auxiliary output (4A max, class 2 limited) allows flexibility for mixed-voltage devices without additional external regulators.
Output Configuration
The board includes 4 relay lock control outputs fused at 3A each — typical for electromagnetic lock supervision on access points — and 8 auxiliary DC outputs also fused at 3A per channel. This distribution eliminates the need for downstream terminal blocks or breakout modules on smaller installations, reducing wiring complexity and cost. Each output is independently protected, so a short on one channel will not cascade.
Physical & Installation Fit
Measuring 16W × 20H × 4.5D inches, the board fits standard 19-inch rack apertures and compact wall-mount enclosures common in electrical rooms and security racks. Compact depth (4.5 inches) permits integration into shallow cabinets without sacrificing terminal access. Installation requires standard 24VDC control logic wiring and Class 2 cable — no special environmental conditioning beyond standard dry indoor mounting.
When to Choose a Different Model
If your system requires integrated battery backup (UPS) functionality, redundancy, or output monitoring with alarm relay feedback, consult Lifesafety Power's FPO or PSS series products with supervisory features. If all endpoints are IP cameras powered by PoE switch infrastructure, dedicated access control power may not be necessary.
