The Lifesafety Power FPO150/250-2C8P2D8PE4 is a 16-lock, 16-auxiliary output power supply designed for distributed access control and door strike/magnetic lock installations. It delivers class 2 power-limited outputs rated 2.5A per lock output—meaning each lock circuit is safely isolated and current-protected, eliminating the need for individual inline fuses on each strike. The unit provides 150W at 12V/12A or 24V/6A, and can scale to 250W at 12V/20A or 24V/10A depending on configuration, accommodating buildings with multiple door access points or hybrid lock/auxiliary circuits.
This supply integrates with standard access control panels, door controllers, and distributed locking architectures that require hardwired, class 2 power-limited outputs. It is compatible with electromagnetic locks, electric strikes, card readers, request-to-exit buttons, and other auxiliary devices rated for 12V or 24V operation. The E4 enclosure form factor suits wall or cabinet mounting in electrical rooms, server closets, or main distribution cabinets where access control wiring terminates. Verify output voltage and amperage requirements of your lock hardware before installation—mismatched voltage will damage the lock.
Each lock output is current-limited to 2.5A; do not daisy-chain multiple locks on a single output if aggregate draw exceeds this limit. Wire locks and auxiliary devices using 18–14 AWG twisted pair or multi-conductor cable appropriate to the voltage and current. Confirm that your access control panel output or relay contacts are capable of switching the supply's input voltage. The E4 enclosure provides some mechanical protection but is not rated for outdoor or wet-location use—mount in a controlled electrical environment. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit during 250W operation to prevent thermal stress.
