Overview
The i-PRO WVCF354 is a 650TVL fixed analog dome camera built for retrofit deployment into existing closed-circuit TV infrastructure. This is a legacy product — use it when you're extending or replacing analog cameras in sites where DVRs and coaxial distribution are already in place and a transition to IP is not yet planned. The WVCF354 fits standard indoor dome housings and outputs monochrome or color video depending on ambient lighting conditions, making it suitable for general surveillance in retail corridors, back-of-house areas, and indoor facilities where analog capture meets basic clarity requirements.
Compatibility
The WVCF354 connects to analog video systems using BNC connectors and standard composite video feeds (NTSC or PAL). It is compatible with legacy DVRs, analog matrix switchers, and video distribution equipment that accept 75-ohm analog video input. Verify your existing recorder or switcher supports standard analog composite video before installation. The dome form factor fits universal indoor dome housings commonly stocked for legacy analog installations — confirm housing dimensions match before ordering.
Installation Notes
Use shielded coaxial cable (RG-59 or equivalent) to minimize RF interference on longer runs. Keep cable runs under 300 feet without amplification to preserve composite video signal quality — longer runs degrade picture without a distribution amplifier. Power the camera from a 12V DC supply rated for the total load of all connected analog cameras on that power circuit. Mount the dome on a stable ceiling or wall surface with appropriate support brackets to prevent vibration-induced image degradation. Secure the dome enclosure firmly to eliminate motion that can blur or jitter video frames.
