Overview
The NVR-SFL-1-8TB-V7 is a pre-configured tower network video server built around an Intel 6-core/12-thread processor with 16GB RAM and Windows 11 PRO. It ships with 8TB total usable storage (1x 8TB 3.5" enterprise drive) plus a dedicated M.2 SSD for the OS. This is a plug-and-play unit — VI Enterprise Server software is pre-installed and activated, meaning you deploy it out of the box without weeks of software licensing or remote configuration. The 260W fixed power supply and dual 1GB network interfaces (BASE-T) support a 150–250 Mbps recording workload, making it suited for small-to-mid-size multi-camera installations where Windows-native integration and straightforward management matter more than scale.
Compatibility
The NVR-SFL-1-8TB-V7 runs VI Enterprise Server (Video Insight), which integrates with any ONVIF-compliant IP camera. It is not a locked appliance — Windows 11 PRO means you can install third-party VMS software (Milestone, Genetec, etc.) if you choose, though the system is pre-optimized for VI workflows. Includes 1-year VI HM+ activation on a secondary machine (useful for remote access or failover monitoring). The on-board TPM 2.0 and encrypted HDD support standard enterprise security requirements without additional hardware.
Installation Notes
Physical footprint is compact: 13.4" H × 3.6" W × 11.7" D, 12 lbs — fits standard rack shelves or under-desk deployment. The single 3.5" drive bay holds one enterprise HDD; rear-mounted drives are special order and require additional configuration time. Dual 1GB NICs connect directly to your network switch — no PoE switch needed (unit draws power from the 260W PSU, not network). Ensure adequate ventilation; no RAID controller means single-drive failure results in data loss — consider external backup or a second unit for critical deployments.
