Description

Honeywell LTEM-PIA AT&T Dual-Path Fire Communicator

Overview

The LTEM-PIA is an LTE CAT-M1 cellular and Ethernet communicator module designed for Honeywell VISTA control panels running UL 985-certified fire monitoring. It routes alarm, fire, and status events through AT&T's LTE CAT-M1 network (with automatic fallback to Ethernet backup) to AlarmNet monitoring stations and Resideo Total Connect 2.0 remote services. Deploy this when your VISTA panel must reach a central station reliably even if hardwired internet drops — the dual-path architecture means one communication failure does not isolate the panel.

Compatibility

Connects to Honeywell VISTA control panels via Ethernet cable. Supports both ECP (Enhanced Control Protocol) and Bus connection modes to compatible VISTA models. Integrates with Resideo Total Connect 2.0 for remote user access and control via AlarmNet 360 web-based dealer programming. Firmware uploads and downloads to VISTA panels are supported through the communicator when internet connectivity is present.

Installation Notes

Mounts and connects via a single Ethernet cable to the VISTA panel. Powered by a 9VDC power adapter (included). Operates behind standard firewalls without reconfiguration — supports dynamic or static IP addressing on the Ethernet connection. LTE CAT-M1 reception is critical; this technology is available wherever standard LTE networks reach with sufficient signal strength. CAT-M1 provides deeper penetration into buildings and underground areas than standard LTE, but verify carrier coverage in your deployment area before installation. No special mounting hardware or tools required beyond standard network cabling practices.
