ATEN VE814AR-ATA HDBaseT Receiver with Dual HDMI Outputs

Overview

The VE814AR-ATA is the receiver unit for ATEN's VE814A HDBaseT extender system, providing two simultaneous HDMI outputs at the display end of a long-run AV installation. The VE814AR-ATA ships without an active Ethernet port — if your installation requires Ethernet pass-through to the display end, that requires the VE814AR-AT variant instead. For AV-only deployments (conference rooms, digital signage, classrooms) where you simply need dual local display outputs at the far end, this unit keeps the install clean. The pigtail from HDBaseT input to the two HDMI outputs spans up to 3 m, giving you enough reach to dress cables to nearby displays without an additional extender.

Compatibility

Pairs exclusively with the ATEN VE814A HDBaseT extender transmitter unit. Supports the full resolution and distance envelope of that system: 4K (4096×2160 / 3840×2160) at 60Hz (4:2:0) or 30Hz (4:4:4) over Cat 5e/6 up to 70 m, or up to 100 m over Cat 6a or ATEN 2L-2910 Cat6 cable. 1080p extends to 100 m over Cat 5e, 6, or 6a. The two HDMI Type-A female outputs allow simultaneous feeds to two displays — useful for end-of-row signage, mirrored boardroom screens, or a primary display plus a local confidence monitor. Installation Notes

The RJ-45 port on the VE814AR-ATA is non-functional for Ethernet — it is present only on units supporting the Ethernet option (VE814AR-AT). Do not connect a live network switch to this port expecting pass-through; it will have no effect. Firmware upgrades are handled via the onboard slide switch (ON/OFF), not over the network. Operating humidity is rated to 80% RH non-condensing, suitable for standard indoor AV environments. Use the locking DC jack for power to prevent accidental disconnection in rack or ceiling-mount installs. For AV cabling runs approaching the 100 m ceiling, use ATEN 2L-2910 or a verified Cat 6a cable — generic Cat 6 may not reliably achieve the full distance at 4K.
