Overview
The Geovision 125-GEB4900-1TB is an outdoor network camera built for deployments where centralized NVR infrastructure isn't practical or where you need guaranteed local backup — retail entry points, warehouse dock doors, or perimeter monitoring on smaller sites. The model includes 1TB onboard storage, eliminating dependency on a remote recorder. It continues recording even when your primary network is down, a critical feature for compliance-driven environments. The 2.8mm fixed lens delivers 95.3° horizontal field of view, suitable for door-width coverage at standard mounting heights.
Compatibility
The 125-GEB4900-1TB operates on any ONVIF-compliant VMS platform and integrates into standard IP surveillance networks via Ethernet (IPCAM cable category). H.265 codec support is mandatory; if your VMS runs legacy MJPEG-only instances, confirm codec compatibility before deployment. PoE 802.3af powers the camera — verify your switch has sufficient budget if this is one of several PoE devices on the same port group.
