Overview
The GV-POE2411 is a 24-port gigabit managed switch engineered to consolidate power delivery and network connectivity for medium to large security camera and access control deployments. Every port supplies PoE+ (802.3at) power simultaneously with gigabit data—meaning you can run a camera, wireless access point, or IP intercom on each port without consuming a separate power supply at the endpoint. This eliminates power-supply sprawl and reduces installation labor on distributed camera installations across warehouses, retail facilities, and multi-building campuses.
Compatibility
The GV-POE2411 supports any IP security device rated for PoE+ (802.3at) operation, including IP cameras (fixed and PTZ), wireless access points, IP-based intercoms, door controllers, and edge computing appliances. Its managed switching architecture provides VLAN segmentation and port mirroring, allowing you to isolate security devices from general IT traffic and prioritize video streams across the network backbone. QoS (quality of service) tools let you reserve bandwidth for time-sensitive alarm and video data, preventing bandwidth-starved devices from degrading recording quality during peak network load.
Installation Notes
Mount the GV-POE2411 in a standard 19-inch rack or on a shelf using the included bracket. All 24 ports are active and deliver full PoE+ power simultaneously—no per-port power reduction or limitation. Managed features are accessible via web interface or standard CLI (command-line interface) for VLAN, QoS, and port mirroring configuration. Power the switch itself via standard AC input; check your facility's circuit capacity before deploying multiple switches in a single rack.
