The Panduit EA001 Temperature Sensor Kit provides critical environmental monitoring for your IT infrastructure. It integrates directly with Panduit G5/G6 Intelligent Power Distribution Units (iPDUs) and Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) to detect and report ambient temperature fluctuations within a server rack. This allows for proactive management of thermal conditions, preventing equipment failure due to overheating and ensuring optimal operational performance. The sensor comes with a 6.6-foot (2 m) cable, offering flexibility in placement within the rack environment.
This sensor is specifically designed for integration with the following Panduit product lines: G5 iPDUs, G6 iPDUs, and EL2P UPS units. Ensure your existing Panduit power infrastructure is within these series to utilize the EA001 for temperature monitoring.
The sensor measures 1.23 inches x 0.70 inches x 0.40 inches (44 mm x 21 mm x 11 mm) and connects via a 6.6-foot (2 m) cable. Deployment involves connecting the sensor to the designated environmental monitoring port on the compatible Panduit G5/G6 iPDU or UPS. No external power source is required for the sensor itself, as it draws power from the host device.
