Overview
The ELK-PB1 is a compact wireless panic button designed as a keychain accessory for emergency alarm activation. It transmits a panic signal to a compatible ELK security system regardless of the alarm's armed or disarmed state. At 52 × 54.5 × 10mm and weighing just a few grams, it's sized for pocket or keychain carry — particularly suited to senior living facilities, retail environments, and office buildings where staff need hands-free emergency alert capability without accessing the panel.
Compatibility
The ELK-PB1 pairs with ELK security control panels and receivers that support 315MHz or 433.92MHz wireless panic button protocols. Confirm your system's radio frequency before ordering — the button is fixed at either 315MHz or 433.92MHz depending on the SKU variant. It does not work with non-ELK systems or panels lacking wireless panic button input support.
Installation Notes
The ELK-PB1 runs on a single CR2032 button cell battery, rated for DC 3V operation. Battery life is finite — current draw during transmission is ≤7mA. In open-area conditions, transmission range is ≤80m; walls, metal structures, and interference reduce effective distance significantly. Operating temperature range is −10°C to +55°C with humidity tolerance up to 80% (non-condensing). ABS plastic housing is durable but not rated for submersion or heavy impact. For reliable panic activation, test the button's range in your actual environment during commissioning and brief users on the actual coverage limits of their location.
