Overview

The ELK-M1DBH is a data bus hub designed to extend communication range and capacity on ELK M1 control panel systems. It acts as a repeater and signal booster on the M1 data bus, allowing you to deploy sensors, keypads, and peripheral devices at greater distances from the main panel than a direct connection would support. This solves the real-world problem of reaching devices in large facilities or installations where the main panel's native bus range falls short — without requiring additional wiring runs or signal degradation.

Compatibility

The ELK-M1DBH integrates directly with ELK M1 control panel systems, including the M1 base unit and all M1-compatible peripheral modules. It connects to the M1 data bus and is compatible with ELK M1 keypads, sensors, output modules, and other devices that communicate over the M1 protocol. Verify your specific M1 firmware version and any existing expansion modules before adding the hub, as bus topology may affect placement and performance.

Installation Notes
