Overview
The ACTi E91 is a 1MP fixed-lens mini dome built for indoor spaces where physical footprint and visual discretion matter — retail ceilings, small offices, educational facilities, and hospitality environments where a standard-size dome would dominate the sight line. At 1 megapixel (720p/30fps), the E91 delivers enough resolution for personnel identification and activity monitoring without overshooting storage budgets on 24/7 multi-camera deployments. The camera pulls power and data over a single PoE (802.3af) cable — no separate power runs, no clutter.
Compatibility
The E91 integrates with any standard IP surveillance infrastructure that supports ONVIF-compliant cameras. Wire it to any PoE-enabled switch, layer it into your existing VMS platform (Milestone, Axis Camera Station, or generic ONVIF management software), and configure via standard web browser. The 802.3af power budget (under 13W typical) fits comfortably on standard enterprise PoE switches without straining port allocation.
Installation Notes
The compact dome housing mounts flush to ceiling or wall — minimal installation footprint, durable plastic construction. CAT5e or CAT6 cabling supports both PoE delivery and IP transport. Wide Dynamic Range (WDR)
WDR keeps the image usable when bright and dark areas share the frame — sun-blasted windows alongside dim corners, for example. This is not forensic-grade WDR; it's foundational exposure balancing. Expect reasonable clarity in mixed lighting; if you're fighting severe backlighting or high-contrast scenes regularly, you may need a higher-tier WDR sensor in a larger form factor.
