Overview

The FVT1031S1 is a single-channel analog video transmitter paired with an RS232/RS422/RS485 data transceiver, designed to extend surveillance and control signals over a single strand of singlemode optical fiber. This is the transmit side of a point-to-point fiber link — it converts baseband video and serial data into optical signals for long-distance runs where copper coax would degrade signal or introduce ground loops. Compatibility

The FVT1031S1 pairs with a compatible Comnet fiber receiver (such as FVR1031S1 or equivalent models in the FVR/FVT industrial fiber family). It accepts standard composite video (NTSC or PAL, 1 Vp-p) on RCA or BNC input and supports three RS data protocols simultaneously on DB-9 connectors: RS232, RS422, and RS485 — no protocol negotiation needed, all three active in parallel.
