Overview
The UT9179 is a surface-mounted wall enclosure designed to hold nine Comelit 9 Ultra intercom modules in a 3×3 grid configuration. It solves the integration problem of mounting multiple video display and camera modules cleanly on a single wall face — think apartment building lobbies, office entrance vestibules, or multi-unit residential sites where you need modular access control and video verification in a compact footprint. The housing projects just 35 mm from the wall, minimizing visual impact and reducing snag risk in high-traffic corridors.
Compatibility
The UT9179 works exclusively with the Comelit 9 Ultra module family. Each of the nine slots accepts standard 9 Ultra components — video displays, door release cameras, or call stations — in any combination your system design requires. The housing is sized and keyed for 9 Ultra modules only; it is not backward-compatible with earlier Comelit generations and cannot accommodate non-Comelit third-party modules.
Installation Notes
The metal support frame secures modules without screws, using a friction-fit design that simplifies field installation and reduces assembly time. The die-cast aluminum finishing frame receives cataphoresis treatment, a chemical conversion process that hardens the surface against corrosion, UV degradation, and environmental oxidation — important in coastal or industrial air environments. A module interconnect cable is included in the package, eliminating the need to source side-by-side module wiring separately. Dimensions: 332 mm (W) × 289 mm (H) × 35 mm (D). Verify wall substrate integrity before mounting; surface must support the combined weight of nine populated modules plus the housing frame itself.
