Comelit UT9194 Rainshield Surface-Mounted Wall Housing
Overview
The Comelit UT9194 is a surface-mounted rain shield designed to protect outdoor entrance panel installations from direct weather exposure. Built from anodised aluminium and finished in grey, this housing accommodates four Ultra modules and mounts directly to exterior walls. The shield solves a specific deployment problem: exposed entrance panels on building facades, loading docks, and perimeter access points where rain, snow, and wind would otherwise corrode connectors and degrade component reliability over time. The UT9194 extends equipment lifespan in climates with frequent precipitation or salt-air environments (coastal installations, industrial yards).
Compatibility
The UT9194 is engineered for Comelit Ultra entrance panel systems. It accepts exactly four Ultra modules and integrates with Comelit's modular access control and intercom architecture. Confirm your entrance panel uses the Ultra form factor before ordering — earlier Comelit panel generations (e.g. Plura or Vimar legacy systems) may require different housings. The shield itself is passive (no electronics, no active components) and carries no restrictions on downstream device types — it shields whatever modules you mount inside.
Installation Notes
Mounting is surface-mount only — designed for exterior drywall, brick, or aluminium fascia. Ensure the wall surface is flat and structurally sound; uneven surfaces reduce weather seal effectiveness. The anodised aluminium finish is pre-treated but not paint-grade — if cosmetic touch-ups are needed after installation, use anodising-compatible touch-up paint or request the manufacturer's finish specification. No PoE or power flows through the housing itself; wire management depends on how you route module cabling through the back opening. Check that your installation location allows 116mm width, 385mm height, and 57mm depth projection.
