Overview
The Camden CV-110SPK is a standalone proximity reader and keypad unit for single-door access control. It combines 125kHz HID proximity card reading with integrated keypad entry in a slim-line form factor—solving the need to wire separate reader and keypad components when space or simplicity matters. Operating at 16VDC with up to 8-inch read range, the CV-110SPK fits retrofit scenarios, small office entries, or any deployment where consolidating both credential types into one device reduces installation complexity and cabinet clutter.
Compatibility
The CV-110SPK communicates via Wiegand and OSDP (Open Supervised Device Protocol), making it compatible with most access control panels that support either protocol. OSDP is increasingly standard in modern systems and provides encryption and encrypted credentials, which matters if your panel requires secured communications. Wiegand is the legacy fallback for older panels. The device reads HID 37-bit and AWID 34-bit proximity formats—confirm your credential stock matches before deployment. Single relay output wires to standard strike mechanisms, electric latch releases, and door locks. Suitable for single-door installations only; multi-door sites should evaluate multi-reader architectures.

Power requirement is 16VDC at 35mA typical (75mA peak)—verify your access control panel PSU budget supports this draw. Use 24 AWG minimum, multi-conductor stranded cabling with overall foil shield from panel to reader to minimize electromagnetic noise, especially in environments with motor drives or industrial equipment nearby. Operating temperature range is −31°F to 150°F (−35°C to 66°C), and IP67 rating means direct rain and debris present no barrier—suitable for covered outdoor entries. Do not submerge; IP67 is splash and dust resistant, not submersion rated. LED and audible feedback confirm successful reads, aiding end-user confidence during normal operation.
