Overview
The CM-AF142SO is a single-gang multi-color LED dome light with integrated piezo sounder, designed to provide combined visual and audible annunciation at door access points. It mounts directly to a standard single-gang electrical box, eliminating the need for a separate audible device. The superbright LEDs and wedge-shaped lamp cover deliver visible illumination from either corridor direction. The piezo buzzer produces up to 93 dB at 1 metre (3 feet) — sufficient for typical commercial entry areas without requiring a separate audible annunciator. Color selection (red, green, or blue) is determined at wiring time by selecting which of three color-coded wires you connect to the common (black) wire, supporting simple status indication schemes without a controller.
Compatibility
The CM-AF142SO integrates with any door access control or alarm system capable of supplying 12V or 24V AC/DC power. It is commonly paired with access control panels and door strike controllers that need door-mounted visual feedback — compatible with standard single-gang wiring into existing electrical boxes at entry points. Verify that your control logic can supply one of the three color wires (red, green, or blue) to achieve the desired light color; this is a wiring-time selection, not a software-controlled function.
Installation Notes
Mount to a standard single-gang electrical box using the supplied 2-28 x 5/16" Phillips locking screw and foam gasket. The device draws a maximum of 70 mA for a single color or 130 mA when multiple color wires are combined (typically not recommended). Wire using the supplied color-coded leads: black as common, then select red for red light, green for green light, or blue for blue light. Supply 12V or 24V AC or DC to the black and selected color wire. Volume adjustment is accessible via a small Phillips screwdriver on the device body — turn counter-clockwise to reduce volume, clockwise to increase. Concrete wall mounting requires the supplied wall plugs; drywall mounting uses the supplied drywall anchors and self-tapping screws.
