Overview
The Camden CM-AF501SO is a single gang LED annunciator designed to deliver synchronized visual and audible alerts in access control installations. The unit pairs an illuminated 1-3/8" square lens faceplate with an adjustable sounder, addressing deployments where you need both a seen and heard confirmation — restrooms, emergency assistance stations, controlled entry corridors, and door strike activation events. The stainless steel faceplate resists corrosion in high-traffic and light-commercial environments. Mount to any standard single gang electrical box; only 9/18" depth is required, minimizing wall cavity intrusion.
Compatibility
The CM-AF501SO integrates with access control systems using electric strikes, electromagnetic locks, electric door operators, and low-energy automatic door controllers. Power and signal wiring connect directly to relay or door control outputs. The unit operates on 12/24V AC/DC (±10%), matching the voltage plane of most commercial access control panels and lock power supplies — no separate supply transformer needed on most installations.
Installation Notes
Mount the stainless steel faceplate directly to a single gang box using the included #6-32 tamperproof screws. The shallow depth requirement (9/18") simplifies retrofit into existing wall cavities. Wire black leads to 12/24V AC/DC common; refer to the wiring diagram in the installation guide for control signal routing. The volume adjust knob on the rear allows field tuning of sounder output — turn clockwise to increase, counterclockwise to mute. Confirm all wiring is complete before applying power.
