Overview
The Camden CM-RQEPK is a stand-alone wireless receiver and transmitter kit built to trigger door hardware without running control wire back to a head end. It pairs a rugged 868MHz relay receiver with two compact fob transmitters, giving you 30VDC-rated dry contact outputs to fire an electric strike, gate operator, or automatic door operator from up to 100ft line of sight. This fits scenarios where pulling low-voltage wire is impractical or too costly — single or two-door retail entries, gate and parking garage access, or a remote man-door on a commercial or healthcare site.
Compatibility
The receiver in this kit uses HID-compatible rolling-code credential transmissions over TCP/IP-manageable relay outputs, supporting up to 30 transmitters enrolled at once — useful if you need to add fobs for additional staff later without replacing hardware. The relay outputs (one momentary, one selectable momentary/latching) integrate with standard electric strikes, maglocks driven through a separate power controller, and gate or garage door operators that accept a dry contact closure. It is not a full access control panel — it is a relay-triggering receiver, so pair it with your existing door hardware rather than expecting reader/credential management features.
Installation Notes
The receiver's IP65-rated enclosure and built-in antenna support both indoor and outdoor mounting, so exposed gate posts and garage entries are in scope without an added enclosure. Rated operating range runs -4°F to 185°F (-20°C to 85°C), which covers most uncovered exterior mounting locations in North America. Relay contacts are rated 1A at 30VDC — confirm your strike or operator's control input draws within that limit before wiring direct, and add an interposing relay if it doesn't. Fobs carry a 2-year expected battery life with a built-in low-battery indicator, so budget a replacement cycle rather than treating them as maintenance-free.
