Overview
The CX-33PS is a pre-wired control relay and power supply cabinet designed for small-to-medium access control installations requiring centralized logic management and regulated power distribution. It addresses the installation pain point of field-wiring multiple relays and power components separately — the CX-33PS arrives with color-coded terminals and a compact metal cabinet, reducing labor and configuration time on two-door systems. The UL-listed 2A power supply operates at 24VDC and includes a 50VA Class II transformer, delivering power to controls, annunciators, and electrified locking devices without a separate PSU.
Compatibility
The CX-33PS integrates with access control systems, time clock interfaces, and telephone entry systems via its relay outputs. It supports up to two magnetic locks or electric strikes, and accommodates up to four active push-button inputs and two door position switches. The cabinet can be wired to standalone keypads or networked access control panels — compatibility depends on your system's relay activation protocol (dry contact closure). Operating range of −20°C to 70°C (−4°F to 158°F) suits typical indoor and protected outdoor mounting locations. Five conduit knockouts (one per side) simplify integration into existing enclosures or DIN-rail architectures.
Installation Notes
The cabinet features pre-punched cam lock provision (lock kit ordered separately) and includes three large 8-segment LED displays for on-board programming. Fifteen operating modes are selectable via three pushbuttons; enhanced security options include lock-down mode and delayed relay activation — verify mode selection matches your door control logic before commissioning. Thermal overload and short-circuit protection are built in. Ensure conduit runs terminate into the five knockouts to maintain ANSI A158.19 compliance for power-operated pedestrian doors.
