The ACTi B81 is a 5MP outdoor zoom dome designed for fixed-mount surveillance in demanding weather and impact-prone environments. It pairs 5MP resolution with a 3x optical zoom lens (3.0–9mm focal length) to deliver detail-capture flexibility without adding camera count to your deployment. 5MP sensor (2592×1944 progressive CMOS) captures 15 fps at full resolution or 30 fps at 1080p—fast enough for vehicle and pedestrian motion without frame-rate bottlenecks. 3x optical zoom (3.0–9mm) narrows field of view from 85.7° down to 30.5° horizontally, letting you tighten coverage on distant subjects without losing wide-angle situational awareness. WDR at 74dB handles backlit and mixed-sun scenarios—useful for doors with direct sunlight, but not forensic-grade for extreme silhouette recovery. Ten 850nm IR LEDs push effective range to 40m in complete darkness, switching automatically from color to monochrome as light drops below 0.1 lux. Dual-codec support (H.264 Baseline/Main/High and MJPEG) lets you trade bandwidth against frame rate; bit rate spans 28 Kbps to 6 Mbps depending on resolution and motion complexity.
