We measure bitrate and CPU impact on test deployments—the A810's WDR processing is efficient enough that H.265 encoding at 5MP/30fps on the same Class 3 PoE budget is realistic. Storage delta between H.264 and H.265 on WDR footage is the same 40–60% regardless of whether you're using a $4k or $10k camera.
• ONVIF Profile S/G/Q/T/M: Full compliance means zero codec or metadata surprises when integrating. The camera supports simultaneous H.265, H.264, and MJPEG streams—practical when your NVR records in H.265 but your live-view dashboard needs H.264 fallback for web browsers. No re-encoding server-side; the camera supplies all three at full frame rate.
• Deep Learning DLPU + VMD On-Camera: Edge analytics reduce false-alert fatigue. Pair the A810's vehicle/person classification with a recording policy that triggers on class detection, and typical 24/7 parking-lot recording shrinks to 30–50% footprint (you're recording motion + defined classes, not every raccoon or wind-blown debris). Works offline from the NVR—a topology advantage if your network link saturates or VMS goes down.
• PoE 802.3af Class 3 (<13W): Low power draw means you can daisy-chain 8–12 A810s on a single 95W PoE switch port in a ring or star topology. In practice, we rarely recommend daisy-chaining beyond 2–3 cameras per port (redundancy risk), but the A810's light draw gives you flexibility on underutilized infrastructure.

Deployment Considerations:

• Motorized zoom is mechanically driven; avoid rapid repetitive zoom commands (e.g., every 2 seconds) in a looping script. Zoom to position and dwell for 30–60 seconds per frame in live-tour scenarios to extend motor life. The mechanism is rated for thousands of cycles, but abuse shortens it.
• Adaptive IR LED output peaks at 15m in dark environments; on narrow (13.5 mm) zoom, the IR cone narrows, reducing effective far-field illumination. Confirm your specific distance and zoom-position requirements before installation. For perimeter fence lines beyond 20 meters, plan supplementary lighting or accept monochrome IR-only footage at extreme distance.
• The IP66 rating is weather-tight but not hermetically sealed; condensation can form on the lens in rapid temperature swings (e.g., night cooling in humid climates). Confirm your site's dew-point and diurnal temperature delta. Most installations never encounter this, but high-altitude or maritime deployments warrant lens-heater evaluation.
• Operating range −30°C to 50°C is standard for outdoor electronics, but confirm your exact climate zone. Arctic deployments (below −30°C) and desert peaks (above 50°C) require thermographic testing or vendor consultation. Cold-weather sites may need lens-heater or silica-gel desiccant pods inside the dome.
• Wall and pendant mounts are included with standard bracket kits; rack mounting requires custom angle-bracket design. Confirm your mounting topology (angle, sun-glare direction, nearby obstacles) during site survey to optimize WDR and zoom framing. A 45° downward pendant mount often performs better than horizontal wall mounts for perimeter lines because it reduces sky-glare interference with WDR processing.
• ONVIF codec negotiation is automatic, but if you're migrating from proprietary NVR to ONVIF-compliant platform, test the A810 on your target VMS (Milestone, Genetec, Axis Camera Station) for 24–48 hours before full rollout. H.265 bitrate savings are real, but some legacy VMS versions have tuning quirks with adaptive-bitrate streams.

The A810 is the right choice for integrators deploying mid-scale outdoor perimeter and parking-lot surveillance where motorized zoom, extreme WDR, and all-weather IR eliminate the multi-camera stack and external lighting infrastructure.
