Overview

The AP7582 is a 2U rack-mounted power distribution unit designed to deliver conditioned 120V AC output from a 200V/208V three-phase input source — a configuration common in data centers, server rooms, and network equipment closets where facility power runs at higher voltages but rack gear operates at 120V. With 12 outlets and a NEMA L14-30P plug, the AP7582 bridges the gap between building-level three-phase power and standard rack equipment without requiring an external step-down transformer. The 28-inch cord length provides enough reach for typical top-of-rack or mid-rack PDU placement without slack management becoming an issue. The 2U form factor occupies a predictable footprint in 19-inch standard racks, keeping power infrastructure accounted for in your rack unit planning.

Compatibility

The AP7582 is designed for 19-inch EIA-standard equipment racks. The NEMA L14-30P inlet requires a matching L14-30R receptacle at the power source — confirm your UPS, PDU transformer, or facility whip is terminated with the correct receptacle before ordering. The 12 NEMA 5-15/20R-style 120V outlets accommodate standard IEC or NEMA-plugged 1U/2U servers, network switches, NVRs, and similar rack equipment running at 120V. This unit is not a switched or metered PDU — it provides basic power distribution only, with no per-outlet monitoring or remote switching. If outlet-level load monitoring or remote reboot capability is required, evaluate APC's AP78xx or AP86xx metered and switched PDU families instead.

Installation Notes

Mount vertically in a 19-inch rack using the included rack mounting brackets — the 2U height consumes minimal rack space when oriented with outlets facing outward for front or rear access. Confirm facility circuit capacity before provisioning: a 30A L14-30P source circuit at 208V supports the full outlet count without oversubscription under typical mixed loads.
