Description

Middle Atlantic HPQ-500 10-32 Rack Screws, 500-Pack, Black Truss Head

Overview

The Middle Atlantic HPQ-500 is a 500-piece bulk pack of 10-32 x 3/8 in. Phillips truss-head rack screws in a black finish — the consumable that keeps Middle Atlantic rack systems and virtually any EIA-standard enclosure buttoned down. At 3/8 in. length, these thread fully into standard 10-32 tapped rails without bottoming out or pulling through thin-gauge ears. The black finish blends with the interior of most rack enclosures and equipment panels, keeping the install looking clean. Buying in a 500-count quantity makes sense on any job involving a multi-rack buildout — running short on screws mid-install is a preventable delay, and this pack covers roughly 10–15 fully populated 2-post or 4-post racks depending on equipment density.

Compatibility

These screws are compatible with any rack rail or enclosure that accepts the 10-32 thread standard — the dominant thread type in IT and AV rack enclosures. That includes Middle Atlantic's ERK, WRK, BGR, WMRK, and PD series, as well as third-party 2-post open-frame racks, 4-post closed racks, and cable management panels from virtually any manufacturer using EIA-310-D compliant 10-32 tapped strips. Not for use with M6 metric rails or 12-24 threaded strips — confirm your rail type before ordering. The truss head profile provides a wider bearing surface than pan or flat heads, which improves clamping across shallow-flanged rackmount ears and reduces the chance of the head pulling through painted steel or thin aluminum. See the full range of rack accessories for cage nuts, washers, and rail hardware that pair with these screws.
