Overview
The HP-6MM is a 100-piece pack of black-finish, 6mm Phillips truss head rackscrews with washers — the standard fastener for securing rack equipment in EIA-compliant 6mm threaded rack rails. At 0.75" (19mm) length, these are sized for typical rack ear thickness without bottoming out in shallow rail threads. The black finish blends with rack panel faceplates in professional AV and security installations. Having a full 100-piece supply on hand prevents the common mid-install shortage when populating a fully loaded Middle Atlantic rack enclosure or rail set.
Compatibility
Designed for use with standard 6mm threaded rack rails, which are the most common rail type found in Middle Atlantic equipment racks, open-frame racks, and wall-mount enclosures — including the Middle Atlantic ERK, WRK, RK, and L-series rack lines. Compatible with any EIA-310-compliant rack chassis that uses 6mm threaded (M6) rack rail holes. Suitable for mounting rack-mountable equipment across rack accessories categories: patch panels, PDUs, NVRs, switches, AV equipment, and security appliances. Not intended for 10-32 or 12-24 threaded rail holes — confirm your rail thread type before ordering.
Installation Notes
Phillips drive (Pozidriv-compatible drivers also work). Truss head profile provides a wider bearing surface than pan head, which distributes clamping load across rack ears more evenly — reduces risk of deforming thin-gauge faceplates on lighter equipment. Washers are included per screw and should be used to prevent the head from pulling through larger rack ear slots. Hand-tighten to seat, then snug with a #2 Phillips driver — overtorquing strips the 6mm thread easily. For high-vibration environments such as mobile or transit enclosures, apply thread-locking compound (not included).
