Description

Middle Atlantic RSHA-SONOS-AMP4 4RU Rack Shelf for Sonos Amp

Overview

The Middle Atlantic RSHA-SONOS-AMP4 is a purpose-built 4RU steel rack shelf designed to house exactly four Sonos Amp units in a standard 19-inch equipment rack. If you're deploying a distributed audio system in a rack-based AV or security integration — media rooms, commercial installs, rack rooms — this shelf eliminates the improvised mounting that causes airflow problems and cable disorder. At 14.22 inches deep and rated for 35 lbs total load, it handles the combined weight of four Sonos Amps with margin to spare. The steel construction keeps the shelf rigid under real-world cabling loads, not just static weight.

Compatibility

Designed specifically for the Middle Atlantic rack accessory line and sized to hold four Sonos Amp units (the current-generation streaming amplifier, not the older Sonos Connect:Amp or Play:5). Fits any standard 19-inch EIA rack — open-frame, enclosed, or wall-mount — that provides at least 4RU of vertical space and 14.22 inches of usable depth. Verify rack depth before ordering: the shelf itself is 14.22 inches, so your rack's usable interior depth must meet or exceed that figure. Not designed for Sonos Connect, Sonos Port, or non-Sonos equipment; RSHA-SONOS-AMP4 positions are sized and spaced for the Amp's specific footprint.

Installation Notes

Standard rack-mount installation using the integrated 19-inch flanges — no additional adapter rails required for EIA-standard racks. Mount in a ventilated rack enclosure or open-frame rack; four Sonos Amps running simultaneously generate meaningful heat, so confirm adequate airflow above and below the shelf. Shipping weight is 6 lbs, final installed weight with four Amps loaded will depend on Amp units. Rear cable management accessories from the Middle Atlantic ecosystem pair naturally here to keep audio and power runs organized behind the shelf.
