Description

Middle Atlantic RSHA-SONOS-AMP2 2RU Rack Shelf for Dual Sonos Amp

Overview

The Middle Atlantic RSHA-SONOS-AMP2 is a purpose-built 2RU steel rack shelf that mounts two Sonos Amp units in a standard 19-inch equipment rack. At 14.22 inches deep and rated for 35 lbs, it gives integrators a clean, permanent home for distributed audio infrastructure in AV racks, server closets, or control rooms where ad-hoc stacking isn't acceptable. The RSHA-SONOS-AMP2 eliminates improvised shelf arrangements and keeps Sonos Amp hardware properly supported alongside other rack-mounted AV and network gear.

Compatibility

Designed specifically for the Middle Atlantic rack accessory line and sized to accommodate two Sonos Amp units side by side. Fits any standard 19-inch EIA rack shelf opening — open-frame racks, wall-mount enclosures, and enclosed equipment cabinets with a minimum 2RU clearance. The 14.22-inch depth accommodates the Sonos Amp form factor without overhang; verify your rack's usable interior depth before ordering if running cable management panels or rear-mount PDUs. Weight capacity is 35 lbs across both positions, sufficient for dual Sonos Amp hardware plus cabling.

Installation Notes

Shelf mounts using standard rack rail hardware to a rack enclosure with 19-inch rails at 2RU spacing. Steel construction keeps the shelf rigid under load without requiring additional bracing. Allow adequate rear clearance for Sonos Amp power and network connections — at 14.22 inches, cable routing to the rear panel is straightforward but confirm your rack's rail-to-rail depth leaves room for connectors. For AV rack build-outs pairing Sonos distribution with network switches or amplifiers, plan vertical space around cooling requirements; Sonos Amps produce moderate heat and benefit from a 1RU gap above or below when stacking dense AV gear.
