Overview
The Z721 is a 4MP fixed outdoor mini dome designed for perimeter and facade monitoring where compact form factor and extreme durability matter. This camera combines high-resolution imaging with IP67 weatherproofing and IK10 vandal resistance, making it suited for retail entrances, parking structures, and transit infrastructure where mounting location and environmental exposure demand robust protection. The Z721 delivers identification-grade detail across typical scenes (6.3m identification range per DORI) while 135dB Extreme WDR handles mixed lighting—critical for monitoring areas with bright windows or reflective surfaces. Deep Learning AI analytics (DLPU) enable edge-based motion detection and intrusion protection without additional compute infrastructure.
Compatibility
The Z721 integrates with any ONVIF-compliant VMS platform: Milestone XProtect, Genetec Security Center, Axis Camera Station, and standard RTSP-based systems. H.265 and H.264 codec support ensures bandwidth flexibility across modern and legacy network deployments. ONVIF Profiles S, G, T, and M compliance guarantee standards-based event handling, metadata streaming, and edge analytics provisioning. The camera supports simultaneous triple streams, allowing separate bandwidth and resolution tiers for live monitoring, recording, and analytics simultaneously.
Installation Notes
The Z721 mounts via wall, pole, or pendant brackets with pan/tilt adjustment (pan 0–90°, tilt 0–68°, rotation 360°). PoE (802.3af) powers the camera at under 13W typical draw, eliminating the need for separate DC power infrastructure. Mechanical IR cut filter enables automatic day/night switching. Operate within –40°C to 60°C ambient range; EN50155 vibration certification suits rail and transportation applications. Two-way audio via built-in microphone and line-in/line-out connections enables remote communication and event-triggered alerts without external audio modules.
