Description

ATEN VW754 4K H.265 Streaming Input Board

Overview

The VW754 is a streaming input expansion board for ATEN VW Series video wall processors, adding a dedicated network video source channel without requiring a separate decoder appliance. Drop it into a VW Series chassis and it pulls H.265 or H.264 streams over RTSP at up to 3840×2160@60Hz (4:2:0) — giving you native 4K source capacity on the video wall without upscaling from a lower-resolution input. ONVIF support means IP cameras from most enterprise surveillance manufacturers integrate directly, making this board a practical bridge between an existing VMS infrastructure and a control-room display wall. The single Gigabit RJ45 interface keeps cabling simple and handles the throughput a 4K@60 stream demands without a dedicated fiber drop.

Compatibility

The VW754 is designed for ATEN VW Series video wall processors that accept input expansion boards — verify your specific chassis model supports input board slots before ordering. It decodes streams delivered over RTSP using H.265 or H.264 compression, and accepts ONVIF-compliant sources, which covers the majority of current IP camera and encoder products from enterprise surveillance vendors. Maximum input resolution is 3840×2160 at 60Hz in 4:2:0 color format — confirm your source encoder and VW chassis both support 4K@60 passthrough if that frame rate is a deployment requirement.

Installation Notes

Install into the target VW Series chassis input board slot per the chassis installation guide. Connect the Gigabit RJ45 to a switch port on the same network segment as your RTSP source devices — the interface supports 10/100/1000 Mbps auto-negotiation. Maintain ambient humidity below 80% RH non-condensing at the rack location. Current firmware is v1.1.101 (released 2026-04-15); apply before commissioning to ensure stream compatibility with current ONVIF camera firmware revisions. No additional power supply is required — the board draws power from the host chassis.
