ACTi E911 3MP Indoor Mini Dome Camera
Overview
The ACTi E911 is a 3MP mini dome built for indoor environments where you need reliable image quality across uneven lighting—lobbies with windows, retail floors with spotlights, offices blending natural and artificial light. The E911 solves the mixed-lighting problem through Extreme WDR, which captures usable detail in both bright and dark areas of the same frame without the halo artifacts that plague standard HDR. Compact dome form factor keeps the camera discreet on ceilings and walls while the IK08 impact rating protects against accidental contact and vandalism in higher-traffic spaces. Dual H.265/H.264 codec support lets you balance bandwidth and storage on a per-deployment basis—H.265 cuts bitrate roughly in half for the same quality, meaningful on multi-camera systems. PoE (802.3af) power means one cable handles data and power, eliminating separate electrical runs and simplifying retrofit installations.
Compatibility
The E911 is a standard ONVIF IP camera compatible with enterprise and mid-market NVRs and VMS platforms that support H.265 and H.264 streams. Deploy alongside other ACTi Dome Cameras in mixed-vendor IP surveillance architectures. Network-based architecture enables flexible placement, remote viewing via standard browsers, and scaling without controller upgrades. Verify your NVR or VMS documentation for H.265 decoding support if bandwidth optimization is your goal; older systems may require H.264 fallback.
Installation Notes
PoE (802.3af) draws under 13W, so it will not strain standard gigabit PoE switch budgets—no separate power injector needed. Requires standard RJ-45 network cabling to switch or injector. Mount on ceiling or wall using the compact dome housing; the mini form factor fits standard drop-ceiling grids and surface-mount brackets. Operating temperature range: verify environment does not exceed stated limits before deployment in unheated or high-temperature spaces. MicroSD/MicroSDXC card slot supports local backup if required by your retention policy.
