Overview

The ACTi D52 is a 3MP indoor dome camera with fixed 3.6mm lens, designed for retail floors, offices, hallways, and institutional spaces where discreet ceiling-mounted surveillance is required without visual prominence. The compact dome form factor blends into suspended ceiling systems, making retrofit and new installations straightforward. Operates on PoE (802.3af)—no separate power supplies needed at each location. H.264 compression keeps bandwidth and storage predictable on 24/7 recording. Sharp 3MP sensor captures face and license-plate detail at moderate distances suitable for forensic review and real-time monitoring across standard network infrastructure.

Compatibility

The D52 integrates with any standard IP video management system or NVR that supports H.264 and ONVIF-compliant devices. Compatible with PoE switches delivering 802.3af minimum (13W budget per port). Works with Milestone XProtect, Genetec Security Center, Axis Camera Station, and third-party VMS platforms. Daisy-chain multiple D52 units on a single PoE switch to reduce infrastructure complexity. H.264 encoding is supported universally across commercial and open-source NVR platforms without codec licensing or transcoding overhead.
