ACTi B64 3MP Indoor Zoom Dome Camera

Deployment Considerations:

• Operating temperature −10°C to 50°C limits unheated/uncooled ceiling placement (attics, mechanical rooms, parking structures). Verify thermal envelope before final mount selection; consider pole or wall mount if ceiling temperature may exceed 50°C or fall below −10°C.
• WDR capability is basic (88 dB), sufficient for retail and office lobbies with typical backlighting (windows, glass storefronts). Avoid extreme contrast scenes (direct sunlight on subject with dark background). Test WDR performance on-site before large-scale rollout.
• Single RJ-45 network interface — no backup management port. Pair with PoE switch uplink redundancy (dual-homed switch) if high availability is required. Single point of network failure per camera.
• Zoom lens requires clear sight line to target. Dome shape and tinted cover (if installed) reduce image contrast in low-light zoom operations. Confirm cover optical clarity before installation.
• Pan/tilt/rotation (Visca, Pelco-D/P, ACTi URL protocols) works with existing PTZ control systems, but operator reframing is manual or macro-based—not automated tracking. Use video motion detection (VMD) + external control system for event-triggered zoom, not real-time object tracking.
