Description

ATEN 2L7D10H 10m 4K Active HDMI Cable

Overview

The 2L7D10H is a 10-meter active HDMI cable designed for installations where passive copper alone can't maintain signal integrity at distance. Active signal conditioning built into the cable allows it to carry 4096x2160 (4K DCI) resolution reliably across the full 10m run — covering the gap between short passive patch cables and bulkier active extender systems. It fits AV distribution, digital signage, and control room display wiring where source and display are separated by a single cable run up to 33 feet. HDCP 1.4 support makes it compatible with protected content workflows. Both ends terminate in standard HDMI Type A connectors with gold-plated contacts, which resist oxidation in long-term fixed installations. The 8mm PVC jacket and 26AWG copper construction are suited to in-wall or cable-managed raceway routing.

Compatibility

Works with any HDMI Type A source and display supporting HDMI 1.4 or later — including ATEN matrix switches (VM series), KVM extenders, presentation switchers, and third-party displays, projectors, and media players. HDCP 1.4 compatibility covers Blu-ray players, streaming devices, and broadcast monitors requiring content protection. The 4096x2160 maximum resolution accommodates 4K DCI sources; standard UHD (3840x2160) sources are also fully supported. Not designed for HDMI 2.0 or 2.1 bandwidth-dependent features such as 4K at 60Hz 4:4:4 or HDR — verify your source's output format before deploying in high-frame-rate or HDR workflows.

Installation Notes

Active cables are directional — the source end (with the active circuitry) must connect to the HDMI output; reversing the connection will result in no signal. Operating temperature range is 0–80°C, suitable for standard indoor environments including equipment closets. The 8mm diameter and 26AWG gauge are manageable through conduit but confirm bend-radius requirements for your raceway before pulling. RoHS, UL VW-1, and CSA certifications support use in commercial building infrastructure projects with compliance requirements.
