Overview
The ATEN VE7832A is a 20-meter (65.6 ft) active optical HDMI cable designed for extending high-resolution video signals without signal degradation. This hybrid cable, incorporating both optical fiber and copper wire, is ideal for installations requiring long-distance, high-fidelity video transmission, such as digital signage, command centers, or conference rooms where maintaining 4K@60Hz (4:4:4) resolution is critical. Its UL Plenum (CMP-OF) rating ensures compliance for use in plenum spaces within commercial buildings.
Compatibility
This cable supports High Speed HDMI standards and HDCP 2.2, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of modern displays, projectors, and source devices. It features a standard HDMI Type-A male pluggable connector on one end and an HDMI Type-D male connector on the other, facilitating connection to devices with different HDMI port types. The cable supports TMDS, EDID, and CEC signals, along with PCM 8-channel, Dolby Digital True HD, and DTS-HD Master Audio formats.
Installation Notes
The VE7832A cable has a minimum bend radius of 20mm and a connector pull strength limit of 10kg (100N), requiring careful installation to avoid damage. It can withstand a compression load resistance of up to 50kg (500N).
