Overview

The B83 is a 2MP outdoor zoom dome camera built for fixed-mounted surveillance where you need variable focal length without swapping lenses. The 3x optical zoom (3.0–9.0 mm) lets operators frame detail at distance or pull back for wider context—useful in retail, transportation, or campus environments where a single vantage point must cover variable subject distances. IP67 weatherproofing and IK10 impact resistance mean it survives direct rain, dust, and vandal strikes. Extreme WDR (145 dB) preserves shadow and highlight detail in mixed sun-and-shade scenes. IR illumination (850 nm, 40m range) extends operation to complete darkness at 0.003 lux minimum illumination. H.264 and MJPEG dual codec support lets you optimize bandwidth and storage per network and retention policy.

Compatibility

The B83 integrates into any standard IP surveillance network with an RJ-45 Ethernet port and ONVIF Profile S, G, T, Q, and M compliance (M available via future firmware update). This ensures interoperability with third-party video management systems, NVRs, and recording platforms that support ONVIF. The camera accepts PoE+ (802.3at) Class 3 input or DC 12V direct supply, so it fits into existing PoE-switched deployments without separate power infrastructure. Manual GPS position setting supports geographic tagging in multi-site installations. Two-way audio (line-in and line-out) allows integration with access control intercoms or event-triggered communication systems. Video motion detection (VMD), people counting, and smoke detection analytics run locally on the camera, reducing backend processing load.

Pan tilt rotation spans ±175° in pan and 5°–170° in tilt, with absolute position memory for preset-driven deployments. The board-mount lens design is fixed and non-removable—zoom range is strictly 3.0–9.0 mm. Horizontal resolution at full zoom reaches 1450 TVL; frame rates are 60 fps @ 1920×1080, 60 fps @ 1280×720, and 30 fps at lower resolutions. Digital noise reduction (2D + 3D DNR) reduces compression artifacts in low-light scenes.
