Overview
The ACTi Q13-K1 is a 2MP outdoor fisheye camera designed to deliver 360-degree situational awareness in a single unit. The fixed f1.19mm/F2.0 lens provides a 182-degree horizontal field of view (overview area) with a 111-degree high-detail area—solving the coverage problem on building perimeters, parking lot overviews, and outdoor courtyards where multiple standard cameras would otherwise be required. IP66 (dust and water-jet rated) and IK09 (mechanical impact rated) construction handles harsh outdoor exposure without degradation. The Q13-K1 operates on standard PoE 802.3af power, eliminating the need for separate supplies and keeping the installation footprint minimal across large deployments.
Compatibility
The Q13-K1 is compatible with enterprise NVR systems and VMS platforms that support standard ONVIF or H.264-based IP surveillance infrastructure. Integration works with mainstream open-architecture video management systems recognizing RTSP/ONVIF streams. The modest 802.3af power draw makes it suitable for PoE-injected networks without high-power PoE+ or PoE++ infrastructure. MicroSD/MicroSDXC local storage support allows edge recording fallback on systems requiring local buffering or disconnected-site redundancy.
Installation Notes
The Q13-K1 includes a flush-mount kit for pole, eave, and wall installation—verify mounting surface can support the 2.3 lb camera weight and allows weatherproof cable entry. WDR and Superior Low Light Sensitivity (SLLS) require no special tuning; enable at the VMS level if available. Audio input and DI/DO terminals support basic event triggering; RS-232 integration available for legacy systems. H.264 compression at this resolution typically delivers 3–5 Mbps depending on scene complexity and frame rate—account for bitrate when calculating network bandwidth on congested links.
