• H.265 Bitrate Efficiency: At maximum resolution (5120×1920 per channel, four channels) and 30fps, full H.265 encoding averages 8–12 Mbps total across all four channels depending on scene complexity. H.264 on the same scene runs 15–20 Mbps — a measurable difference when you're running 24/7 on a 1 Gbps uplink shared with 20+ other devices.
• PoE++ (802.3bt) Class 6 Requirement: The Q84 draws up to 60W sustained (sensors, IR, processing, microphone). Standard PoE (802.3af, ~13W) or PoE+ (802.3at, ~30W) will not power the camera reliably. You need a switch with PoE++ ports and sufficient aggregate budget. This is a hard requirement — not negotiable — and integrators frequently miss it during initial planning.
• Edge Deep Learning Analytics: People detection, vehicle detection, and line-crossing events are computed on the camera itself. This reduces payload to the NVR — instead of streaming raw video 24/7, you can configure the recorder to capture only when a detection event fires. Deployment Considerations:

• The Q84 requires PoE++ (802.3bt) Class 6 switches — standard PoE or PoE+ switches will not deliver sufficient power. Audit your PoE infrastructure before installation. If your existing switch lacks PoE++ ports, budget for a new managed switch or in-line PoE++ injector (adds cost and complexity on long runs).
• Four-channel fixed-position imaging means framing is non-adjustable after installation. Spend time on-site during pre-installation planning to validate pan/tilt/zoom settings for each quadrant. Revisiting this after the dome is mounted and sealed is labor-intensive.
• The 50-meter IR range is adequate for parking lots and perimeter fences but marginal for very large open areas (agricultural property, runway aprons) in total darkness. Supplement with external lighting if your deployment exceeds 50m and requires identification-grade detail in zero ambient light.
• Audio correlation (built-in mic) is useful for incident post-review but not real-time alerting. Mic sensitivity and noise filtering are adequate for speech recognition at ~10 meters; beyond that, audio fidelity degrades rapidly. Plan accordingly if you need audio evidence of disruptive behavior on a large outdoor plaza.
• ONVIF Profile S/G/T/M support ensures broad VMS compatibility, but integrators using proprietary ACTi management platforms may extract additional analytics (people counting, dwell time) unavailable to third-party recorders. Clarify your VMS choice before purchase to avoid feature surprises at commissioning.
