Overview

The Middle Atlantic VTF2 is a 2-rack-unit (3.5 in. tall) vented filler panel designed for standard 19-inch equipment racks. With a fine perforation pattern covering 25% of the panel face, the VTF2 fills unused rack space while maintaining passive airflow across heat-producing equipment — keeping adjacent gear cooler without requiring a fan tray. At just 0.51 in. deep and 0.9 lbs shipping weight, the VTF2 installs where space is tight and adds no meaningful load to a rack. The flanged style seats flush against rack rails, giving a clean front face rather than a raw filler gap. Black powder coat finish matches the standard rack interior aesthetic. TAA compliance is not applicable to this SKU.

Compatibility

The VTF2 fits any standard EIA-310 19-inch equipment rack with a 2U opening — including Middle Atlantic's own RK, ERK, WRK, and RACK series enclosures, as well as third-party 19-inch open-frame and enclosed racks from manufacturers such as Belden, Legrand, Panduit, and Chatsworth. The 19 in. (48.3 cm) panel width and 3.5 in. height conform to the EIA-310 two-unit rail spacing standard. Two mounting points secure the panel to rack rails using standard 10-32 or 12-24 cage nut hardware — no special tools required beyond a screwdriver or nutdriver.
