Overview

The Altronix NETWAYXTG is a 1 Gigabit Ethernet repeater designed to extend the reach of PoE and PoE+ devices beyond standard Ethernet cable limits. This unit is crucial for deployments where a network switch or injector is too far from the end device, such as extending the range of IP cameras or wireless access points in large facilities or outdoor areas. The NETWAYXTG allows you to achieve up to 200 meters total cable length for a single network segment, effectively doubling the standard 100-meter limit when used in conjunction with an intermediate switch or injector.

Compatibility

This repeater is compatible with standard IEEE 802.3af PoE and 802.3at PoE+ devices. It functions seamlessly with any network switch or injector that provides PoE/PoE+ power. It is suitable for extending the range of IP cameras, wireless access points, and other PoE-powered network devices that require a stable 1Gbps connection. It is designed to work with any network infrastructure that adheres to Ethernet standards.

Installation Notes

For optimal performance, the NETWAYXTG should be installed between two Ethernet cable runs. The total cable length from the source (switch/injector) to the end device should not exceed 200 meters. Ensure that the power sourcing equipment (PSE) provides sufficient power for the connected device (PD) and the repeater itself. The unit requires a standard Ethernet connection on both sides and does not require a separate power supply when powered via PoE.
