The Altronix NETWAYXTL is an industrial-grade Ethernet repeater designed to extend network connectivity and Power over Ethernet (PoE) beyond standard cable length limitations. It solves the common deployment challenge of cameras or devices located more than 100 meters from the network switch. This unit is specifically engineered for demanding surveillance applications where reliable data transmission and power delivery over extended distances are critical. Deploy this repeater when your camera installation requires runs up to 600 meters.

Compatibility

The NETWAYXTL is compatible with standard IP cameras, network switches, and PoE-enabled devices that adhere to IEEE 802.3af/at standards. It functions as a transparent bridge, meaning it does not require specific VMS or camera model compatibility beyond standard network protocols. It is suitable for extending networks from any IEEE 802.3af/at compliant switch or injector to any IEEE 802.3af/at compliant endpoint device.

Installation Notes

Installation requires connecting an IEEE 802.3af/at compliant PoE switch or injector to the unit's input port. The output port then connects to the remote device, which can be up to 500 meters further away (for a total of 600 meters from the original switch). Ensure proper termination of Ethernet cables to maintain signal integrity. The unit draws power from the input PoE source, eliminating the need for local power supplies at the repeater location.
