Overview

The Middle Atlantic EWR-10-17 is a 10-space, 17-inch-deep wall-mount rack built for installations where floor space is unavailable — server closets, IDF rooms, back-of-house security equipment rooms, and small AV/surveillance control points. At 10 RU with a 15-inch usable depth and a UL-rated 150 lb load capacity, the EWR-10-17 handles a fully loaded NVR, PoE switch, and UPS without structural concerns. The pivoting design is the operational differentiator: the entire rack swings away from the wall for rear-cable access without unmounting equipment — a practical advantage in tight closets where pulling gear forward isn't an option. Finish is a black wrinkle powder coat; rack rail threading is standard 10-32, which keeps hardware procurement straightforward. TAA compliant for government and federally funded deployments.

Compatibility

Accepts any 19-inch rackmount equipment up to 10U in height and fitting within a 15-inch usable depth — this covers most 1U–2U NVRs from Hikvision, Hanwha, and i-PRO, standard 1U PoE switches, and rack-mount UPS units in the 750VA–1500VA class. The 10-32 threaded rail accepts standard rack screws and cage nuts interchangeably with Middle Atlantic's broader Middle Atlantic rack and enclosure line. Verify equipment depth against the 15-inch usable interior — 2U servers with deep rear connectors or extended chassis may require a shallower alternative in the wall-mount rack category. Not designed for high-density UPS or transformer loads beyond the 150 lb UL rating.

Installation Notes

Product weight is 60 lbs unloaded; combined with a full 150 lb equipment load, wall blocking or structural studs are required — drywall anchors alone are insufficient. Width is 23.38 inches; confirm stud spacing and wall clearance before mounting. No front door is included — open-frame access only. For environments requiring dust control or physical security over the rack face, plan for a separately sourced door or enclosure panel. Rack accessories including blanking panels, cable management, and mounting hardware are available separately and use the same 10-32 thread standard.
