Overview

The WAVE-AI-04 is a software license that adds edge-based AI stream processing to Hanwha Wisenet WAVE NVRs. It enables real-time video analytics on up to four simultaneous camera feeds without requiring a separate analytics appliance or cloud service. The license includes lifetime software updates and carries no annual maintenance or subscription cost — you purchase once and operate indefinitely. This is purely a software enabler; it does not include camera licenses and requires compatible NVR hardware.

Compatibility

The WAVE-AI-04 is compatible with the following Hanwha Wisenet WAVE NVR models: WRR-P-S202, WRR-P-S202X, WRR-P-S204, WRR-P-S204X, WRR-P-S206S, WRR-P-S206S1, and WRR-P-A series recorders. Each license authorizes AI processing on four streams. If your deployment requires analytics on more than four simultaneous feeds, additional WAVE-AI licenses must be purchased and installed on the same NVR. Confirm your NVR firmware version supports WAVE-AI before deployment — contact the NVR vendor or pre-sales engineering for version compatibility.

Installation Notes

The WAVE-AI-04 is a digital license delivered as a registration key. Installation involves entering the license code into the WAVE NVR's software management interface — no hardware changes or physical installation steps are required. Ensure the target NVR has network connectivity for license validation. Once activated, AI processing begins immediately on configured camera streams within the recorder's rule-builder interface.
